Our Approach

Our experience has shown that a lot of valuable knowledge about a business is embedded within most organizations, especially smaller ones.  Many factors inhibit the percolation of this knowledge to the surface: organizational reporting relationships; leadership styles; tenure and work experience of senior managers; lengthy, unfocused meetings that are tribal rituals; the fear of standing apart from a consensus; and a feeling that senior management does not care or will not listen.

We do not believe in bringing in teams of specialists which appear to be a high-powered replica of your own staff.  This more typical consulting model generates more hours, more expense and often sows mistrust.  Our ability to communicate across lots of different disciplines and to understand the distinct personalities and needs of sales teams, marketing groups, product development teams, engineers, production managers gives us a different perception within a client company, which leads to a real collaboration in discovering what needs to be done, what can be done better, and what actions are actually destroying value.
